An air brake system for an automobile is provided to prevent collision accident by preventing operation of an accelerator pedal even when a driver steps on the brake and accelerator pedal simultaneously. An air brake system for an automobile comprises: an air compressor(200) compressing air at high temperature and pressure while rotating by an engine, an air tank(300) storing the compressed air of the air compressor, a brake valve(410) transmitting air pressure to front and rear relay valves(510,520) according to a level of pushing force of the compressed air applied to the brake pedal, a brake chamber(600) generating braking force of the brake by the compressed air supplied through the front and rear relay valves, and an accelerator pedal operation preventing unit(700) supplied with the same air pressure as the air pressure applied to the brake valve for preventing the accelerator pedal from being operated. |
