A mobile phone having a pause function is provided to block a signal applied to an output device during set time as being automatically recovered if the set time is exceeded, so that functions of the mobile phone can be normally operated, thereby setting a pause state with only simple operation of a control button. A link control module(105a) applies a control signal for enabling a mobile phone to pause or to be in idle state according to operation of a control button. A switching module(105b) conducts switching conversion according to the control signal applied from the link control module(105a). A timer module(105c) is called according to a signal applied from the link control module(105a) while being converted by the switching module(105b).
