A driving control method for a head for cleaning and the head for cleaning using the same are provided to prevent damage due to ultraviolet rays discharged from a sterilization lamp by forming a bottom detecting sensor. A head for cleaning using a driving control method comprises a first power apply unit(122), a power line, a cleaner handle(130), a second power apply unit(134), and a head for cleaning(140). The first power apply unit supplies AC power applied through a power supply unit to the power line. The power apply unit supplies the AC power applied through the first power apply unit to the second power apply unit. The cleaner handle has a switch turning on/off the power applied to the second power apply unit. The second power apply unit supplies the AC power applied to the second power apply unit when the switch turns on to a third power apply unit of the head for cleaning. The head for cleaning is operated by using the AC power supplied through the third power apply unit, and includes a sterilization lamp(144), a brush(146), a bottom detecting sensor(142), and a head control unit(145). The bottom detecting sensor such as an infrared ray sensor transmits a detecting signal in case of separating from the ground at a predetermined distance to the head control unit. The head control unit controls operations of the sterilization lamp, the brush, and the bottom detecting sensor by controlling the AC power inflowed through the third power apply unit.
