<p>A pulling tool for use in oil and gas wells, especially suited for the inspection and maintenance of equipment deployed in horizontal wells. The pulling tool is assembled of modules (5) that are screwed together at threaded connections (8). Each module is provided with a driving wheel (4) connected to the arm (7) in such a manner that it may be pressed against the borehole wall by means of a rotating electric activator (13) and the gear connections (12), (11), and (20). The rotation of the driving wheels (4) is performed by an electromotor consisting of permanent magnets (17) and an electric coil (18). The velocity and power is determined by the frequency and voltage of the power input through the cable (2). The withdrawal of the pulling tool after the completion of a task is performed using the winch (1).</p> |
