A tidal power generation system is provided to eliminate the necessity of moving the system in accordance with the ocean current by permitting a plurality of blades to rotate freely in forward and rearward directions and receive water pressure both recurring rise and fall of coastal waters. A tidal power generation system includes bases(2,4,6,8,10), shaft support members(12,14,16,18,20), a horizontal shaft(30), a plurality of support members(41,42,43,44), and a generator(60). The bases are fixed on a sea floor. The shaft support members are mounted on the base. The horizontal shaft is supported by the shaft support members such that the horizontal shaft is rotatable. The support members are arranged orthogonally to the horizontal shaft. The blades are eccentrically connected to the respective support members. The generator is connected to the horizontal shaft, and generates electrical energy. |
