The crankshaft (1) has crank pins (4) joined to trunnions (3) by arms (5) extending normal to a longitudinal axis of a shaft (2) and connected to pistons of an internal combustion engine. Counterweights or flanges (6) are carried by the arms and assembled in an articulated manner to ram or vibrate around articulations i.e. rectilinear grooves (7), in a direction parallel to the axis. The grooves are embossed with a damping material such as aluminum, mica, high temperature polymer, silicone and ceramics or a structure with raw material base such as aluminum foam, fibers or metallic fabric.
