A device for forming an embossing is provided to maintain rotational speed of an upper and a lower embossing roll regularly and to adjust back lash of an electric gear by forming a gap adjusting unit and a back lash adjusting unit on the electric gear. A device for forming an embossing comprises an upper embossing roll and a lower embossing roll(11,12), a plurality of electric gear(31,41), at least one gap adjusting unit(30), and at least one back lash adjusting unit(40). The upper and the lower embossing rolls are separated for predetermined distance from each other and being rotated. The electric gear is placed at two ends of the upper and the lower embossing rolls. The gap adjusting unit is selectively installed at a part of the electric gears, and adjusts the gap between the upper and the lower embossing rolls. The back lash adjusting unit is selectively installed at other ends of the electric gears, and adjusts the back lash of the electric gears which are interactively tooth-engaged. The gap adjusting unit has an adjusting gear(32), and at least one adjusting members(33,34). The adjusting gear is passed through a bore of the electric gear and fitted to a periphery surface of a rotary shaft of the embossing rolls.
