A method for manufacturing a copper precursor is provided to improve convenience and economical efficiency of manufacturing, thereby continuously manufacturing copper nanoparticles without additional purification or extraction. A method for manufacturing copper nanoparticles is also provided to improve production yield and uniformity without environmental pollution. A method for manufacturing a copper precursor comprises the steps of: preparing reaction solution containing copper oxide(II) and fatty acid; increasing temperature of the reaction solution to 160-200 deg.C for 0.5-3 hours; and reacting the reaction solution at the increased temperature until the reaction solution becomes green, wherein the fatty acid is saturated fatty acid family(CnH2nO2), oleic acid family(CnH2n-2O2), linoleic acid family(CnH2n-4O2), linolenic acid family(CnH2n-6O2) or high unsaturated acid family(CnH2n-8O2, CnH2n-10O2, CnH2n-12O2). A method for manufacturing copper nanoparticles comprises the steps of: preparing reaction solution containing copper precursor; adding aliphatic amine into the reaction solution; increasing the temperature of reaction solution to 210-350 deg.C; and maintaining the temperature until the reaction solution becomes brown or black red.
