PURPOSE: A cavity assembly for a microwave oven is provided to reduce parts count and assembly procedures by forming the air duct integrally with the cavity assembly. CONSTITUTION: A cavity assembly(100) comprises a cavity(110) open/shut by a door; and an electrical component chamber(120) formed by a side surface(114) of the cavity. The electrical component chamber accommodates a magnetron for generating a microwave; a high voltage transformer for supplying a high voltage to the magnetron; and a blower fan assembly for generating an air flow directed in the forward direction and cooling the magnetron and the high voltage transformer. An air duct(150) is formed integrally with a top surface(112) of the cavity assembly. The air duct has an entrance(156) for guiding the air flow generated from the blower fan assembly to an inlet portion(114a) constituted by a plurality of holes at the side surface of the cavity. |
