PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

A plasma display panel is provided to prevent a driving voltage from being increased by increasing a partial pressure of Xe gas and a length of a gap structure by using an auxiliary electrode. Front and rear substrates(211) are arranged to be apart from each other. A barrier rib(230) is arranged between the front and rear substrates and defines discharge cells where gas discharge occurs. Discharge electrode pairs(212) are elongated to traverse the discharge cells, and includes X and Y electrodes. A first dielectric layer(214) is formed to cover the discharge electrode pairs. Address electrodes(222) are elongated to traverse the discharge cells, so that the address electrodes cross the discharge electrode pairs at respective discharge cells. A second dielectric layer(225) is formed to cover the address electrodes. Auxiliary electrodes(280) are formed in parallel to the address electrodes to cross the discharge electrodes. A third dielectric layer(215) is formed to cover the auxiliary electrodes. The first layer(226) is arranged in the discharge cells. Discharge gas is injected in the discharge cells.
