PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of reducing cost incurred for waterproofing of a connector for output and capable of realizing downsizing. SOLUTION: The lighting device 1 is provided with a connector for output 3 having a light source connection part 3b, a circuit board 4 which consists of an electronic component group including an exothermic component such as a switching element Q1 and on which a lighting circuit 40 to generate operating power supply for a light source and output to the connector for output 3 is mounted, a case 5 which has a window hole for output 63 to expose the light source connection part 3b and in which the connector for output 3 and the circuit board 4 are housed, and a filling material P for waterproofing of the circuit board 4 to be filled in the case 5. The case 5 is installed at the lower part of a lamp fixture with the window hole for output 63 facing the lamp fixture, the circuit board 4 is installed on the case 5 with the switching element Q1 located at a portion 6b which does not face the lamp fixture in the case 5, and the connector for output 3 is installed on the case 5 in the state located at the side of the circuit board 4.
