<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming a high quality image having uniform image density without bleeding, regardless of changes in a penetration time of a pretreatment liquid or a transfer speed of plain paper. <P>SOLUTION: When the distance from a pretreatment liquid applicator 30 to print heads 21, 22 is changed, a stepping motor control circuit drives a stepping motor 98 based on transfer speed data read by a memory controller. An endless belt 90 driven by the stepping motor rotates in arrow C direction or in arrow D direction, to cause an applicator holder 82 and the pretreatment liquid applicator 30 to move by a specified distance in arrow A direction or in the direction opposite to the A direction while being guided by guide rails 86, 88, accompanied by the rotation of the stepping motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
