<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient data communication to one or more wireless tags in a reader/writer transmitting and receiving data with a passive wireless tag. <P>SOLUTION: The reader/writer for transmitting and receiving data with a passive wireless tag having a nonvolatile storage part by radio communication comprises a tag selection part for selecting a target wireless tag to perform radio communication with the reader/writer; a data transmitting and receiving part for executing data transmission and reception between the selected target wireless tag and the reader/writer; and a time information writing part for writing, at the time of completion of data transmission and reception by the data transmitting and receiving part, time information for the time to complete the data transmission and reception to the nonvolatile storage part.
