PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capillary viscometer showing strong and accurate operation by improving the structural defect of a conventional viscometer. SOLUTION: In a method and apparatus for measuring the viscosity of a sample solution, an inlet pipe for feeding the sample solution toward a flow divider is provided and the flow divider divides an inputted flow into two separate flows. Three capillary tubes are arranged in two flows arranged on the downstream side of the flow divider. Each of the flows has one or two capillary tubes and a once-through type converter having the liquid pressure joint arranged in one or two flows used for measuring a delaying volume and the pressure difference between both ends of the capillary tube.
