PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric transducer preventing the occurrence of a short circuit and a migration, and to provide a manufacturing method for the thermoelectric transducer. SOLUTION: The thermoelectric transducer has a series circuit 50 constituted by alternately connecting a plurality of p-type thermoelectric elements 12, and a plurality of n-type thermoelectric elements 13 in series by a plurality of electrodes 25 and 35; and a plurality of heat-exchange elements 26 and 36 connected to the electrodes 25 and 35 in series. The thermoelectric transducer further has holding plates 21 and 31 holding these heat-exchange elements 26 and 36 so as to be projected. In the thermoelectric transducer, the heat-exchange elements 26 and 36 are fitted into through-holes 43 formed to the holding plates 21 and 31 by fitting sections 45 formed on the connecting sides to the electrodes 25 and 35. In the thermoelectric transducer, the holding plates 21 and 31 have weirs 21c and 31c formed to the outer peripheries of first surfaces 21a and 31a as the projecting sides of the heat-exchange elements 26 and 36 in specified heights, and sealing layers 27 and 37 formed in the internal regions of the weirs 21c and 31c.
