PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for packing an electrophotographic photoreceptor with which, after the electrophotographic photoreceptor is incorporated into an image forming apparatus, even in the case the package is removed, sticking of the adhesive component in an adhesive tape to the electrophotographic photoreceptor is effectively suppressed, and the defect in an image caused thereby can be suppressed, and to provide a method for incorporating the electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same. SOLUTION: Regarding the method for packing the electrophotographic photoreceptor and the method for incorporating the electrophotographic photoreceptor where a light shielding protective member is wound around the electrophotographic photoreceptor in a state the light shielding protective member is partially superimposed, and further, an adhesive tape is pasted on the superimposed part of the protective member so as to be fixed, a cutting line or a thin part is provided at all the periphery of the part pasted with the adhesive tape in the light shielding protective member or along a part of the circumference thereof.
