POLYESTER CONJUGATE FIBER HAVING HIGH STRETCHABILITY, CLOTH PRODUCED BY USING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONJUGATE FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester conjugate fiber having good retention of yarn properties and feeling and imparting a cloth with extremely high stretchability. SOLUTION: The polyester conjugate fiber is a conjugate fiber multifilament obtained by joining two kinds of polymers having different intrinsic viscosity at a mass ratio of 40/60 to 60/40 and satisfying a length ratio (EF/CD) of≥0.70 and <1.40 wherein CD is the line segment having the maximum length among line segments having both ends on the outer circumference of the fiber and parallel to a line segment AB connecting two intersecting points A, B of the polymer boundary line and the outer circumference of the fiber on the cross-section of the single fiber of the multifilament, and EF is the line segment having the maximum length among line segments having both ends on the outer circumference of the fiber and perpendicular to the line segment AB.
