<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die capable of greatly reducing the work for removing unnecessary parts and efficiently manufacturing a metallic glass molding with high dimensional accuracy, and to provide a molding apparatus equipped with the molding die. <P>SOLUTION: A molding die 10 has a first plate 11, a second plate 12, and a third plate 13. A cavity 20 is formed on a first parting face 112 when the die is closed. A gate part 21, whose outlet is opened to the cavity 20, is provided in the second plate 12. The molding die 10 is used for obtaining a molding of metallic glass alloy by charging the cavity 20 with molten metal, and cooling and solidifying the metal. The cross-sectional area of the gate part 21 is 7,500-75,000 μm<SP>2</SP>. The molding die 10 is composed such that, when the first parting face 112 is opened after the molding is molded, the molding is fixed to the first plate 11 and meantime broken at the gate part 21 to be separated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
