The invention relates to an energy absorption deice, comprising an air-filled elastic core made from an elastic material and an envelope enclosing the elastic core with at least one flow device through which the air contained in the elastic core, on compressing the elastic core, dissipates into the space outside the envelope and, on an expansion of the elastic core, flows in from the space surrounding the envelope. According to the invention, the envelope (2) is made from a flexible non-stretchable material.
