<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content reproducing device and a content reproducing method wherein a content can be acquired and reproduced with equipment other than equipment with which the same content is purchased, to raise the freedom of treatment by a user, and further enough protection against unauthorized copy of a content is enabled. <P>SOLUTION: A PC (19), for purchasing an encrypted content (21) and key data (23) from a server (14) to reproduce the content, encrypts acquired key data and its list with a different encryption key and records it in a license (27). Reproduction equipment (30) reads encryption key data and its list from the license (27) and decrypts, and discloses the key data list and the key data to the server (14) for obtaining a list of obtainable contents, and reproduces, based on the encrypted key data, the encrypted content acquired from the server (14) based on the content list. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
