PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical terminating machine having little reflection return and high reliability. SOLUTION: The optical terminating machine includes a ferrule 1 and an optical fiber 2 whose one end is inserted from a rear end 1a of the ferrule 1 into a through hole 1b thereof. A tip end 1c of the ferrule 1 is fitted to a plug 10 having an optical waveguide 11, with light terminated that is made incident from the optical waveguide to one end face of the optical fiber 2.
