<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting circuit capable of attaining stable switching, without causing out of synchronism of a PLL, even when the PLL of a polar-loop type is used, and to provide a transmitter that employs the transmitting circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The transmitting circuit 100 for switching a plurality of modulation systems and for providing an output is configured to include a GSM modulation section 102 of the GSM modulation system; an EDGE modulation section 103 of the EDGE modulation system; and an initial phase control section 104 for switching the GSM modulation system into the EDGE modulation system and/or the EDGE modulation system into the GSM modulation system, and the initial phase control section 104 is such as to switch the modulation system, by obtaining an initial phase of the modulation system after the switching from a final phase of the modulation system, prior to switching. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
