PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility allowing the travelling of an article carrying apparatus with reduced possibility of adverse effect on articles caused by dust floated from a floor surface. SOLUTION: The article storage facility comprises: article storage racks 3 each having a plurality of storage parts; an article carrying apparatus 5 having an article transfer means 40 to be capable of elevating; an operation control means controlling operation of the article carrying apparatus 5 for carrying the articles; and cleaning air ventilating means 6 flowing the cleaning air downward in the moving space. In a travelling section where the article carrying device 6 travels in the moving space, the operation control means manages elapsed time from the start of the travelling of the article carrying device 5. In a travelling section where the elapsed time is shorter than a set time for straightening air, the operation control means executes a processing for suppressing turbulence of air, in which the article carrying apparatus 5 is controlled to travel with suppressed turbulence of flowing state of the cleaning air.
