PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing press which enables a precise transfer of a pattern having a necessary film thickness. SOLUTION: This printing press is provided with: a plate cylinder 14 on the outer peripheral surface of which a printing plate 17 is mounted; a conveying table on which a substrate 16 is mounted; a moving means which moves the conveying table under the plate cylinder 14 in a direction perpendicular to the core of the plate cylinder 14; and a regulating mechanism which forms a gap being smaller than the film thickness of an application liquid formed on the printing plate 17, between the surface of the printing plate 17 mounted on the plate cylinder 14 and the surface of the substrate 16, on the basis of the position of the lower end of the plate cylinder 14, the position of the top of the conveying table, the thickness of the printing plate 17 and the thickness of the substrate 16.
