<p>The present invention provides methods for use of IL-21 in combination with a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) in treatment of diseases in which inhibition of phosphorylation via TK inhibition and modulation of immune function play a clinically beneficial role. These diseases include, but are not limited to, cancers, such as renal cell carcinoma and metastatic melanoma.</p>
