PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display apparatus designed so as to sufficiently protect the display apparatus against theft or tampering through a simple configuration and improve practicability by making it convenient to handle for a user. SOLUTION: A key pad (16) having an operating part (14) on which various keys (15) are arranged for the purpose of controlling a main body part (12), which has a projection lens (13), so as to bring it into a specific operable state or a stopped state is composed separately from the main body part (12).
