<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large capacity paper storage device enabling the easy positioning of a width restraining member for laterally aligning paper whether paper size is specified in inch or centimeter. <P>SOLUTION: Positioning projections 25a to 25d project from the surface of a positioning member 10 at the center in one row. A graduation 27a for indicating the sheet size specified in centimeter and a graduation 27b for indicating the sheet size specified in inch are engraved in the positioning member on both right and left sides of the positioning projections 25a to 25d. The positioning member 10 is horizontally rotated by 180°until a direction indicating line 29a on the graduation 27a side or a direction indicating line 29b on the graduation 27b is aligned with a mounting reference line 30, and the positioning member 10 is fixed.
