PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slab reversing device performing reversing action on a conveying line without requiring an extra space for reversal, considerably simple and practicable in structure, and capable of sufficiently coping with warpage of a slab. SOLUTION: Rotating rings 3 through which the slab 1 axially extends are disposed along the slab conveying line. A first clamp 5a and a second clamp 5b independently movable in the radial direction of the rings are installed in the rotating rings 3 at the corresponding positions. A side stopper 6 in contact with the side surface of the slab 1 is installed on the inner surface of each of the rotating rings 3 between these clamps 5a and 5b movably in the radial direction of the rings. Furthermore, a lifting device 4 and a swing device 8 for lifting and swinging the swing rings 3 are installed on each of the swing rings 3. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
