<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control device improved in a user's operability by making the selection and display of items easy to understand in a list including the items of hierarchized data structure. <P>SOLUTION: A selection screen 100 is displayed on a display when carrying out retrieval or the like of audio data hierarchically stored in a storage device in an audio device. The list 106 including a plurality of items 104 of first hierarchy is displayed on the selection screen 100.
