PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device in which the temperature rise of a magnetic flux generating means is efficiently and surely reduced without lowering the heating efficiency of a heat generating member, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The fixing device includes: the magnetic flux generating means 24 generating magnetic flux; the heat generating member 20 heated by the magnetic flux directly or indirectly and also opposed to the magnetic flux generating means 24 on its outer circumferential surface side; and a partition member 27a partitioning a gap between the magnetic flux generating means 24 and the heat generating member 20 into a plurality of spaces A1 and A2.
