<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is improved in display quality. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes: a substrate 117; a black matrix 115 which is formed in a matrix pattern on one side of the substrate 117 and divides the substrate into a plurality of cell areas; a color filter layer 113 comprising a red color filter R of a first thickness formed in one of the plurality of cell areas, a green color filter G of a second thickness which is higher than the first thickness, and a blue color filter B of a third thickness which is higher than the second thickness; and a first compensation layer 111 which is formed by coating the color filters R, G, B and the black matrix 115 with a polymerizable liquid crystal and hardened to level the substrate 117. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
