PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet radiation monitoring system and ultraviolet irradiation device, which monitor high-intensity ultraviolet radiation accurately over long period of time. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet radiation monitoring system 4 includes: a power supplying device 11 supplying electric power; an ultraviolet radiation source 12 irradiating ultraviolet radiation by obtaining electric power from the power supplying device 11; and a diamond layer 22 as a detecting section generating amount of electric charge depending on intensity of ultraviolet radiation received, and is also equipped with; an ultraviolet sensor 13 outputing electrical signals depending on intensity of the aforementioned ultraviolet radiation from electric charge formed in the diamond layer 22; and a controller 14 controlling output from the ultraviolet radiation source 12 by controlling electric power supply of the power supplying device 11 based on the electrical signals.
