An image display device is possible to make out a highly original image character, provides product information a user does not obtain and gives the user an incentive to purchase a product. An identification information discriminating means (4) discriminates identification information put on a product and a display device (2) displays an image corresponding to the product. A combinable component retrieval means (8) retrieves image data of one or more components composing other products identified by other identification information that are combinable with a plurality of components composing the product corresponding to the discriminated identification information. The product image and an image selected by the retrieved image are combined to make out a new image. An application executing means (7) executes an application of the image as an image character only in the case that a plurality of components composing an image displayed on a screen are completely identifiable by identification information discriminated in advance.
