The particulate pump (2.1) has a timer control (74) to allow pressurized gas (36.1) into a metering feed chamber (6.1) at a preset operating point in time for a preset period. At the end of the time period, the powder mix is ejected from the metering chamber. The pump time control can be a cyclic timer to provide control signals at the ends of set time periods.
