A multi-service portable storage device and a method for changing service thereof are provided to use the portable storage device for a storage service or a wireless communication service selectively by a switching operation. A multi-service portable storage device(300) comprises a storage module(310) and a switching module(330). The storage module stores predetermined data with a communication module(340) which provides a wireless communication service by using a wireless communication protocol and an external wireless communication device. The switching modules changes services between the communication module and the storage module by a switching operation. A service changing method for the storage device includes a step of switching the service into one of a wireless communication service and a data storage service by using the wireless communication protocol; and a step of transmitting and receiving a predetermined control signal which is sent by the switching operation.
