The invention relates to a flexible extruded strip positioned between a skirting board 1 and a carpet gripper bar 8. The strip prevents dust marks from occurring on the edge of the carpet. The flexible strip comprises a vertical front edge that lies against the skirting, a base 6 and a shorter upright angled member 7 which sits against the angled edge of the gripper bar 8. The vertical upright member may have a feathered edge 4. The strip preferably compresses against the skirting board and forms a tight seal stopping draughts which carries dirt upwards forming dust marks on carpet edges. The strip may also prevent heat loss and insect penetration. The flexible strip is preferably formed by extrusion and may be secured to the floor by tape or adhesive. |
