A host terminal for providing detail information of a device, a detail device information program method thereof, and the device receiving the detail information from a host terminal are provided to remove inconvenience of setting the detail information as many as the number of devices by enabling the host terminal to set/provide the detail information to the device based on a UPnP(Universal Plug and Play) protocol. A user interface(150) generates the detail information comprising setting option for functions provided from at least one device(200). A description generator(160) generates a predetermined description file set from the generated detail information. A first stack(170) transmits the generated description file to a plurality of connected devices. The first stack includes a first memory(172) storing the generated description file. The description generator updates the description file to reflect the changed setting option when the setting option for the function is changed through the user interface.
