PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of conducting both moisture transfer in the cell thickness direction and the moisture transfer in the cell inside direction, and accelerating uniformization of moisture distribution in an electrolyte membrane compared with the current one. SOLUTION: (1) This fuel cell has the distance between a fuel gas exhaust manifold 28in and an oxidizing gas exhaust manifold 29 out lager than that between other manifolds. (2) Fuel gas flow is parallel to the oxidizing gas flow. (3) A separator 18 has a flat square surface shape. (4) The direction of the flow of a coolant is the same as the direction of that of the oxidizing gas. (5) The oxidizing gas exhaust manifold 29out is located under a fuel gas manifold. (6) gas passage is extended in the horizontal direction. (7) The fuel gas manifolds is faced to an oxidizing gas manifold. (8) The fuel gas manifold and the oxidizing gas manifold are located on the same side. |
