<p>The chuck (10) has a chuck body (12) with a guiding device (24), where a clamping holder (34) for fixing a work piece in the chuck body is accommodated in the device and is movable in a radial direction. The device is formed separate from the chuck body that is made of steel or aluminum. An intermediate space (40) bordered by the device and a recess (20) is filled with a filling material e.g. polymer concrete (46) and mineral composite. The device and the recess are aligned to each other in the body such that the material is subjected with compressive force during fixing of the work piece. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a collet chuck.</p> |
