A display apparatus and a method for combining a chassis base with a boss are provided for minimizing transformation of the chassis base by preventing transformation of the chassis base from being transferred to an outer of the circumference of an embosser. A chassis base(10) supports a circuit board for driving a display panel. A boss(15) is coupled to the chassis base. An embosser(10a) is formed around at least one boss of the chassis base to be embossed. The boss is pressurized to the embosser to be coupled. The embosser includes a circular arc separated from a central line of the boss. A distance from the central line of the boss to the circular arc is less than 40 mm. When the embosser is formed around one boss of the chassis base, the embosser is formed in a circle centering the center of the boss as a center. When the embosser is formed around two bosses of the chassis base, the embosser is formed in an oval shape enclosing the two bosses.
