A read-only memory card is provided to realize a write/erase protect function for prohibiting writing/erasing the contents stored in the read-only memory card to protect the contents recorded in the read-only memory card. An I/O(Input/Output) contact terminal connects bits for inputting/outputting data and address data by connecting to a connector of an external device. A control signal contact terminal is connected to a plurality of control signal lines for read-only usage. A power supply terminal supplies power to the read-only memory card and a ground terminal grounds the read-only memory card. A write/erase protect terminal provides a write/erase protect function for prohibiting the outside from erasing the contents or recording the new contents to protect the contents recorded in a memory device. The memory device is a flash memory(5) and the write/erase protect terminal is a WP(Write Protect) terminal. The WP terminal is internally connected by using a pull-down circuit(6) in a write/erase protect state during an active-low state and using a pull-up circuit in the write/erase protect state during an active-high state. The WP terminal is sealed after the contents are recorded in the memory device at first. |
