<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box-fixing tool capable of being easily mounted to a light weight shape steel material so that the box fixing surface faces the wall surface side of a light weight partition wall, and to provide a mounting method for the box-fixing tool. <P>SOLUTION: The box-fixing tool 10 has a mounting part 11 to be mounted to the light weight shape steel material P and a fixing piece 21 equipped with the box fixing surface 25a to which a wiring box B is fixed. The mounting part 11 includes an abutting surface 11a to abut on a shoulder surface plate part Pb and has a mounting hole 12 through which a mounting screw 16 is inserted is formed. The fixing piece 21 is provided extending from the mounting part 11 so as to make the box fixing surface 25a orthogonal to the abutting surface 11a of the mounting part 11.
