PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism of a brushing device easy to maintain. SOLUTION: This driving mechanism of the brushing device is constituted of a cylindrical housing 61, an inner cylinder 62 arranged on the inside of this cylindrical housing, on the rear side of which a driven gear 63 having a metallic tooth surface is mounted and on a head end of which a brush holding means 66 to insert and hold a brush 68 is mounted and free to rotate, a brush shaft 67 arranged inside of this inner cylinder 62 and on the head end advancing and retreating by receiving working of a driving source 22 for advancing and retreating of the brush 68 of which the brush 68 is mounted and a driving gear 31 having a resin made tooth surface to rotate the inner cylinder by catching a driven gear 63.
