A split-type median strip using cores is provided to beautify an external appearance between a pillar and a safety panel and to block vehicle light from an opposite lane at night by controlling distance between a pillar and a safety panel through a Ý‹ shaped guide groove. A split-type median strip(10) using cores has support pipes(11). The support pipes have support plates(11') and internal and external pipes(13,12) to form predetermined space parts(15) between the internal and external pipes and to fill a reinforced member made of concrete in the internal pipe. Lower ends of pillars(16) are fitted to the space part between the internal and external pipes. Guide grooves(16') are formed at the pillars. Safety panels(20) are fitted at the guide grooves of the pillars to connect the pillars. The safety panels have upper and lower panels(21,22).
