<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording body, which is excellent in color developing sensitivity and image quality and, at the same time excellent in stamping properties and abrasiveness. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording body comprises a thermosensitive recording layer including at least a colorless or light-colored basic leuco dye and an electron acceptive developer formed on a support as a coating layer, wherein at least one layer of the thermosensitive recording layer and other arbitrarily formed coating layers includes contains powdered cellulose manufactured by a dry grinding.
