PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database creation apparatus and a database creation program capable of obtaining feature value data useful for matching processing of featured values of a target. SOLUTION: In the case of creating a database, a plurality of visual points for an object are set and attitude information of the object in respective visual points is acquired. Then, the contours of the attitude information corresponding to respective visual points are extracted and the feature values of these contours are found out. Then, the attribute of one visual point optionally selected from visual points having no attribute is set to J (1 to n) and the similarity degree R of feature values of a contour corresponding to a visual point whose attribute is J to the feature values of a contour corresponding to its nearby visual point j is calculated. When the degree of similarity R is larger than a threshold T, the attribute of the nearby visual point j is set to J. After determining the attributes of all the visual points, representative visual points are determined from a plurality of visual points belonging to respective attributes and the feature value data of contours corresponding to respective representative visual points are registered as a database.
