PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is provided with first and second gate driving circuits, and is improved in a response speed of liquid crystal by supplying a pre-charge voltage to the (N+4n)th gate line when a gate ON voltage is supplied to the Nth gate line of a liquid crystal panel, and to provide a driving method therefor. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display ("LCD") device includes an LCD panel for displaying images, and the first and the second gate driving circuits connected respectively to opposite sides of each of a plurality of gate lines formed in the LCD panel, driving the plurality of gate lines, and is characterized by supplying the pre-charge voltage to the (N+4n)th gate line when the gate ON voltage is supplied to the Nth gate line.
