<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manuscript reader and recorder which can notify a manager of the copy information, when a confidential document has been copied, while giving elasticity to constraint added to copy of the confidential document. <P>SOLUTION: If the scanned manuscript data are stored at the time of copy operation, by comparing the scanned image data with the image data of each confidential document one by one, the scanned manuscript data and the manuscript data of confidential document scanned are compared, and then it is determined whether the scanned manuscript is a confidential document (Steps 201-203). If the scanned manuscript is a confidential document, when the confidential document is prohibited to copy, "copying prohibited" is indicated (Steps 205 and 206). Furthermore, when copying is limited of confidential documents, only when an inputted manager ID matches, will the copy information be sent by mail to the manager of the confidential document and will the scanned image be printed out (Steps 207-214). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
