PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can prevent a counterpart connector from being inserted aslant. SOLUTION: The connector is provided with an insulator, a plurality of conductive terminals to be fixed with the insulator and a shield case which covers the insulator and has a coupling cylindrical part. An elastic piece is formed on a side plate of the coupling cylindrical part to extrude toward an inner part of the coupling cylindrical part and moreover the elastic piece is formed so that it extrudes backward from a top edge of the coupling cylindrical part. Since the elastic piece is formed at the top edge of the shield case of the connector, a counterpart connector can be prevented from being inserted aslant into the connector, a conductive terminal neighboring the connector is prevented from being connected by short-circuiting.
