SURFACE MOUNTING LUG TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING THE SAME

A surface mount type lug terminal and a method for mounting the same are provided to solder terminal leads in conformity with land patterns on a printed board regardless of the number of terminal leads even when the lug terminal is mounted on a surface of the printed board. A surface mount type lug terminal(1) comprises a terminal lead part(4) formed integrally in a metal plate(2) for reflow soldering, and a plurality of positioning projections(8) protruded from a rear side of the metal plate. The positioning projections are protruded downwardly from an inner periphery of a screw hole(7) formed in the metal plate. The positioning projections are protruded downwardly from an outside face of the metal plate. The terminal lead part is formed protruding inward from the inner periphery of a relief hole in the metal plate.
